Relations between China and Russia were strengthened recently when the Deputy Minister of the Russian Federation Ministry of Transport Pashkov led a delegation to BUU.

BUU Party Secretary Chu Guoqing, President Lei Xingshan, and Vice President Chang Hongmei extended a warm welcome to Deputy Minister Pashkov and his team.

Chu Guoqing said: “The comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination between China and Russia in the new era is continuously deepening. The cooperation prospects between our university and Russian universities are broad. I hoped that in the future, the in-depth cooperation between BUU and Russian universities in higher education and the transportation field can be further strengthened to better serve the construction of a transportation powerhouse and the "Belt and Road" Initiative.”

Pashkov thanked BUU for its warm welcome. “China and Russia maintain a profound friendship,” he said. “This year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Russia, and the cooperation and exchanges between the two countries are continuously deepening and expanding. I hope that the advantages of both countries can be brought into play to further strengthen the cooperation in transportation, jointly promote the development of the exchange field, and welcome more students to study and exchange in Russia.”

BUU appointed Pashkov as a distinguished professor. On the same day, the Deputy Minister also visited the College of Urban Rail Transit and Logistics (Joint Transportation College of BUU and Russian University of Transport), the Urban Rail Transit Laboratory, the High-Speed Railway CTCS Simulation Laboratory, and the Power System Integrated Technology Laboratory. 

Pashkov chatted with the teachers and students and showed great interest in the achievements of the college in talent cultivation, laboratory construction, and scientific research.
