Energy, athleticism and determination was in abundance at BUU’s 24th Sports Meet held at the North Fourth Ring Campus on May 28 and 29, when more than 1,600 athletes competed in 42 events across three major categories.

Wu Hui, Secretary of the CPC Beijing Union University Committee, thanked the faculty, staff and students who helped organize the event. “I urge you to run faster, jump higher and show your best form,” she said. “This sports meet offers everyone an opportunity to enjoy competition, strengthen physical fitness and bring new youthful energy to the university.

“BUU will continue to support sports and wellness activities that encourage students to stay active, build confidence and contribute to a vibrant university community.”

Judges and officials ensured events were organized, fair and orderly, while on the field, athletes challenged themselves in a range of track, field and team events, reflecting the university’s commitment to health, resilience and active campus life.

The two days also highlighted BUU's emphasis on physical education as part of student development. Through competition, students and faculty members strengthened their connections while celebrating the spirit of participation and mutual encouragement.
