Record-breaking haul of prizes for BUU in Moscow
Beijing Union University’s team won five first prizes, four second prizes, three third prizes and five Best Creativity Awards at the 23rd International Student Advertising Festival in Moscow, the university's strongest performance in the 11 years it has participated in the festival.
BUU entries in the video, print, creative and advertising animation categories won plaudits across all categories as it competed against 480 participants from 48 universities in China and Russia. BUU submitted more than 100 student works as part of the total 624 submissions.
Among the winning works, Urban Pulse: The Invisible Logistics Network by Si Jie, Dong Shuo and Guo Yuwei received a first prize in the video advertising category.
Other BUU students also earned first prizes in video advertising, print and outdoor advertising, and animation.
The festival also provided a platform for cross-cultural creative exchange. BUU students attended master classes, viewed award-winning works and exchanged ideas with peers and faculty members from Russian universities. Several BUU works were displayed or screened during the festival and received positive feedback from audiences.
The visit further strengthened the long-standing cooperation between BUU and Moscow University for the Humanities and underlined the university’s support for international competitions and exchange programs that help students broaden their global perspective and develop professional creative skills.
